Who I Am

I’m Tyrone Rhoden, a hands-on IT professional focused on making systems cleaner, processes faster, and problems smaller. I work where the rubber meets the road: fixing misconfigured gear, automating slow workflows, and closing support loops that drag teams down.

I’m not here to recite a résumé. I build tools and systems that free up time, reduce error, and make support teams look sharper than they are.

What I Actually Do

Over the past few years, I’ve worked across environments — from hospitals deploying VLAN-segmented gear, to live desktops in homes and offices, to simulated labs where I stress-test rollout processes before ever touching a client system.

Whether I’m writing PowerShell scripts to automate AD onboarding or fixing obscure GPO quirks mid-deployment, the goal stays the same: kill the bottlenecks.

Some examples:

  • Built a fully virtual SMB network to test deployments using Hyper-V, Windows Server 2022, and PowerShell. Result: repeatable workstation imaging, drive mapping, and group policy provisioning with zero manual effort.
  • Automated AD user provisioning end-to-end, including folder permissions, login scripts, and group assignments.
  • Deployed network gear in live hospital environments, coordinating with on-site IT and staff while under real operational load.
  • Diagnosed and repaired desktops/laptops across software, hardware, and malware issues, face-to-face with clients who needed it fixed that day.

Why This Matters

Most IT issues don’t need more tools. They need less confusion, fewer steps, and someone who doesn’t panic under pressure.

That’s what I bring.

I’ve worked with technicians, administrators, and non-technical staff alike. I don’t get flustered. I document what works, automate what repeats, and get out of the way once it runs.

The Stack

  • Systems: Windows 10/11, Server 2016–2022, Active Directory, SCCM, Hyper-V
  • Networking: VLANs, DNS/DHCP, Unifi/Ubiquiti, routers, firewalls
  • Scripting: PowerShell (automation, scraping, remote patching)
  • Cloud/Infra: Office 365, RMM tools, ConnectWise, IT Glue, ITIL workflows
  • Tools: TeamViewer, AnyDesk, WDS, GPO, Linux CLI

A Note (If You’re a Hiring Manager)

You won’t hear me talk about “passion for technology.” You’ll see someone who removes friction. Whether it’s fewer clicks, faster logins, or less explaining. I build the small things that add up over time.

The Path So Far

  • 2025 – Field technician in live deployments, working under pressure in critical environments
  • 2024 – Practicum at JTG Systems. Logged, resolved, and documented tickets using ITIL structure
  • 2020–2022 – Repair tech, walking clients through issues and building real diagnostic speed
  • Earlier – Call center support and systems coursework in parallel
